This small-scale, peaceful park is located in the wooded area at the bottom of the dunes at the outskirts of Zoutelande. The park has a children’s play area, small sports field, ping-pong tables and bicycle hire. The layout and the small scale of the park give children in particular the chance to meet each other and do things together.
The park is at the edge of a beautiful wood and dune area. You can wander for hours through the woods, over the dunes and along the beach.
There are lots of opportunities for children to play and make discoveries in the adjacent wooded area. There are all sorts of things to do: hide and seek, building huts, picking berries and blackberries, jumping ditches and investigating the ruins of a bunker.
A variety of activities are organised in and near to the park in July and August. The Boshut – the Hut in the Woods – is just five minutes’ walk down the woodland trail. A team of young people organise lots of activities here, backed by the local churches. Children can go to the Boshut 5 days a week to make things, watch the puppet show and play games. Every summer, a bouncy castle or other children’s activity will come to the park a number of times. Sporting competitions, campfire evenings and sing-alongs are organised at the Boshut for young and old. The archery is a major event in the park every year.
Zee, Bos en Duin is a ten-minute walk from the village centre. So you don’t need the car to do your daily shopping, to have a pleasant time looking round the other shops, or to go out for a good meal. The car park is at the edge of the park, so (with the exception of a few houses that have a parking space close by) there are no cars in the park except on the changeover days. You can also make the most of the sun at your accommodation. All houses have a patio that is enclosed by plants; many of them also have a garden area of their own.
